The Falls, in important ways, is much as it was in the 17th century when it was a working farm. It is tucked into a soft curve of the hillside on the western side of Newlands Valley. The barns and outbuildings are clustered round the farmyard like hens around a bowl of corn. These lovely, sturdy old buildings have been thoughtfully converted, equipped and attractively furnished with ’childproof’ furniture. They combine old-fashioned simplicity with modern comforts like central heating and lashings of hot water. Resident proprietors.
