These cosy country cottages (some beamed) are in a lovely location, near Appleby-in-Westmorland. It is an excellent base for walking/touring/cycling (Ullswater 25 mins; Yorkshire Dales 1 hour; Hadrian’s Wall 45 minutes; Carlisle-Settle Railway 10 minutes) or for just relaxing. All the cottages are heated and include TV, DVD, CD & radio. With fully equipped kitchens, washing/drying facilities, some with dishwashers, four poster beds and open fires. The large gardens and adjacent paddock have a childrens play area and barbecue and picnic areas. There are shops, a Post Office and pubs nearby, as well as off-road parking and a cycle store. VisitBritain 3* Open all year.
